1. Introduction¶
RepRisk's company universe grows daily as new risk incidents are captured and analyzed.
Our data collection process is issue- and event-driven, rather than company-driven, i.e., RepRisk screens public sources and stakeholders for risk incidents, in line with RepRisk's research scope, rather than a defined list of companies. These include print media, online media, social media including Twitter and blogs, government bodies, regulators, think tanks, newsletters, and other online sources. These sources range from the international to the regional, national, and local level.
Consequently, RepRisk provides universal coverage, i.e., we cover any company exposed to business conduct risks, regardless of its size, industry, country of headquarters or operations, or whether it is listed or unlisted.
2. Current universe¶
Shown below, the current universe is comprised of the number of companies with identified risks and overall number of companies in the RepRisk Dataset as of January 2026.

In total, the RepRisk Dataset currently contains 980k+ companies. These can be cross-referenced with other data using identifiers such as ISIN, BvD ID, or DUNS and are thus ready for active monitoring.
3. Breakdown by region¶
RepRisk's corporate universe with identified business conduct risks has grown significantly since 2007, as has the number of languages covered.
