Your Responsibilities
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop our high-performing ESG Research team in Toronto, serving as a subject matter expert for clients and stakeholders across Canada and North America. As Regional Lead, ESG Data Research, you will drive excellence in analysis to deliver actionable ESG insights, ensuring data quality, team performance, and impactful client outcomes. Thus, you will build trusted partnerships with clients and support through data-driven solutions. Your role will include:
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, inspire and develop a culturally diverse team, fostering collaboration and growth. Create a high-performing environment that adapts to organizational goals and cultural contexts. Develop and implement strategies to upskill team members, ensuring continuous professional growth and alignment with industry best practices.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor by leveraging your deep expertise in RepRisk’s ESG scope and methodology. Simplify complex data insights into clear, actionable solutions tailored to client objectives.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients. Partner with the internal client facing teams to understand client challenges, provide expert guidance, and deliver meaningful insights to support informed decision-making.
Project Management: Oversee ESG data research projects, collaborating with internal teams such as key account management, marketing, and product management. Leverage RepRisk data to uncover trends, generate actionable insights and position the organization as a thought leader in the ESG space.
Strategic Integration: Align team efforts with RepRisk´s short- and long term objectives. Identify opportunities to innovate and improve processes, integrating ESG research and insights into broader business strategies and contribute to the organization’s growth and success.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Analyze complex issues and guide teams to develop effective, data-driven solutions. Make confident, informed decisions under pressure while managing competing priorities and change.

You Offer
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, data management, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree, MBA or Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
- Professional Experience: At least 12 years of relevant experience in sustainability or data-driven roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions (direct and indirect, ideally with large teams).
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in sustainability and/or in AI/data driven environment with a strong affinity for ESG. Advanced proficiency in MS Office paired with a strong analytical mindset. Familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Client-Facing Experience: Proven success in consulting, pre-sales roles, or in the financial industry, with a strong business acumen and a result-oriented approach.
- Global Leadership: Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in international settings, demonstrating flexibility and cultural awareness. Exceptional communication, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to navigate and lead change effectively.
